It can also be searched by key words including authors and paper numbers or technical words and phrases. In additions mousing over a page that shows the meeting floor plan gives the times and locations of all sessions and activities.
Oral Presenters:
PowerPoint slides for electronic projection are expected unless we are notified otherwise. Please reply to this message if you need:
- Any other application besides PowerPoint or
- Either an overhead or 35 mm projector. A laptop and projector will be supplied in every meeting room.
All symposium organizers have been urged to collect electronic copies of presentations in advance of the meeting for loading onto single medium--CD or USB drive. The instructions in this message are intended for presenters who must bring electronic copies for uploading at the meeting.
It is extremely important that presentations stay on schedule. To stay on schedule the A/V vendor advises:
- Check file compatibility at a speakers center, which will be set up near the registration desk and open during registration hours.
- Windows PC users: Bring electronic copies of PowerPoint presentations on either (1) CD or (2) USB memory.
- Macintosh users: Save the PowerPoint presentation in a PC format, view it on a Windows PC computer to verify that it displays correctly and bring the electronic copy on either (1) CD or (2) USB memory.
- Plan to use the laptops provided; we discourage using your own laptop.
- Plan to arrive at your session about 30 min before the scheduled beginning to upload files.
Contributed papers are expected to last 15 min plus 5 min for questions--20 min total. Invited papers are expected to be 35 min plus 5 min for questions--40 min total. Frontiers in Chemistry and Medicine presentations are a little longer.
Poster Presenters:
- Poster boards are 4' x 8' in landscape orientation. Please plan to leave some margin at the top for the abstract numbers.
- Poster sessions begin at 9:00 a. m., noon or 3:00 p. m. and last for
2 hours. It is extremely important that the posters both be mounted ready for viewing at the starting time and be removed promptly at the end of the time. Only 1 hour has been allotted for the transition between sessions during the day.
- When the exhibits are really put up, the exact poster layout may change somewhat from what is shown for the commercial [link needed] and academic [link needed] exhibits. The layout on Saturday will be different from that on Thursday and Friday. Abstract numbers will be mounted on the poster boards at the beginning of the set-up times.
Please locate your abstract number.
- Posters will be displayed on Thursday and Friday in the Commercial Exhibition and in the Graduate Fair on Saturday. The layout on Saturday will be different from that on Thursday and Friday.
